The area of a rectangle is 80 sq meters. the length is one more than three times the width. Find the dimensions of the rectangle.
1) A=lw=80
2) l=3w+1
(3w+1)w=80
3w^2+w-80=0
which leads to w=5
thus l=16
rectangle is
5m by 16m
