1...The square difference of two numbers is 25 and the twice of the first is 1 greater than the second. Find the two numbers
1) (x-y)^2=25
2) 2x=y+1
y=2x-1
so that
(x-(2x-1))^2=25
which leads to:
x={-4, 6}
y={-9, 11}
solutions: {(-4,-9), (6,11)}
