The length of a rectangle is 5 inches more than the width. The perimeter is 70 inches. Find the length.
we can use the perimeter to deduce that l+w=35 (how?)
and since l is the longer, l-5=w
now we find l,,,
l+(l-5)=35
2l=40
l=20
