How would you solve; (x-5)/(x+6)=(x-3)/(x+4)

This is a proportion:

%28x-5%29%28x%2B4%29=%28x-3%29%28x%2B6%29 

x%5E2-5x%2B4x-20=x%5E2-3x%2B6x-18 


-x-20=3x-18 

4x=-2 

x=-1%2F2
