The rational root of the equation 2x³-x²-4x+2 =0 is

2x³-x²-4x+2=0
x%5E2%282x-1%29-2%282x-1%29=0
%28x%5E2-2%29%282x-1%29=0 

from which we need: 
2x-1=0 
x=1%2F2
