If a line has a gradient of 5/2 what will the gradient be of a perpendicular line be if a line has a gradient of 5/2? What will the gradient be of a parallel line be?

The slopes of perpendicular lines have a product of -1. So can write:

m%5Bperpendicular%5D=-1%2Fm=-2%2F5

Parallel lines have the same slope:

m%5Bparallel%5D=m=5%2F2
