Find the values of the constants C and b so that the curve y = Cb^(x) contains the points (4 , 3) and (5 , 6) .

for the point (4,3) we can write 3=C%2Ab%5E4
for the point (5,6) we can write 6=C%2Ab%5E5

then taking the quotient of these two equations leads to

6%2F3=%28C%2Ab%5E5%29%2F%28C%2Ab%5E4%29=b
s we see that

b=2

Now we can use either point (we'll go with (4,3)) and b directly to write

3=C%2A2%5E4

3=C%2A16

so,
C=3%2F16
