Give the coordinates of the vertex for the graph of the equation: y=x^2+6x+9

In general...
x%5Bmin%5D=-b%2F2a=-6%2F%282%2A1%29=-3
y%5Bmin%5D=f%28x%5Bmin%5D%29=%28-3%29%5E2%2B6%28-3%29%2B9=0
v(-3,0)

but there is an easier way if we use the fact that it is a perfect square...
y=x%5E2%2B6x%2B9
y=%28x%2B3%29%5E2+
so that h=-3k=0
