Without making a drawing, how can you tell that the graph of y = x - 30 passes through three (3) quadrants?

When  both x and y are negative (quad III).


When  x is positive and y is negative (quad IV). 

When  they are both positive (quad I))).

Find the x-intercept and y-intercept of the graph of the equation: -2x + y = 4

Find x-intercept(s) by setting y=0: 
y=0 
-2x +(0)= 4
-2x=4 
x=-2 
x-intercept (-2, 0) 
Find y-intercept by setting x=0: 
x=0 
-2(0)+y=4
y=4 
y-intercept (0, 4)
