Fractions

If somebody could please help me on a college algebra problem. I need to simplify this problem :
5/6*(2/3-1/6)+7/18
I started out by reducting it to
(4/6 - 1/6)
5/6*3/6+7/8 than somehow got
15/6+7/8
but than i got stuck.
So could somebody please help me and show me how to do this?
That'd be great. Thank you! :)

How do you write 1.86 as a repeating decimal, with the repeat sign over the six, turned into a simple fraction?

n=1.86666...
10n=18.6666...
100n=186.6666...

100n-10n=(186.6666...)-(18.6666...)
90n=168
n=168%2F90=84%2F45=1+%2639%2F45

A sampling grew 5 1/2 inches one year 6 3/4 inches the second year,and 7 1/4 inches the third year.how much did it grow during the three years

Essentially we are adding these three mixed numbers:

5 1/2 + 6 3/4 + 7 1/4

the common denominator is 4, so we convert:

5 2/4 + 6 3/4 + 7 1/4 =
5+6+7 + 2/4+3/4+1/4 =
18 6/4=
18 + 4/4 +2/4=
19 2/4=
19 1/2

Raquel's younger sister is 3 5/6 feet tall. Raquel's brother is 4 1/6 feet tall. How much taller is Raquel's brother than her sister?

We must subtract 3 5/6 from 4 1/6 so we write:

4 1/6 - 3 5/6.

By subtracting only the whole number parts we get 4ft - 3ft which leaves us with

1 1/6  -  5/6

Now we convert 1 1/6 as follows...

1 1/6 = 1+1/6 = 6/6 +1/6 = 7/6

Now we can subtract:

7/6 - 5/6 = 2/6 = 1/3
