Solve: -5|x+5|+3=-12

-5|x+5|+3=-12
-5|x+5|=-15
-5/(-5)*|x+5|=-15/(-5)
|x+5|=3 
which means 
x+5=-3 or x+5=3 

so x=-8 or x=-2
